Students’ projects
Cultural Heritage is one of the main focus research and teaching areas of Una Europa University Alliance. Since 2019, the universities of Una Europa have implemented and launched an important number of research and training activities in relation with Cultural Heritage, among which Una-Her-Doc, a joint interdisciplinary PhD programme on Cultural Heritage and several PhD workshops on different topics related to heritage.
The next doctoral workshop, entitled 'Museums and new challenges: virtual technologies, societal responsibility and environmental sustainability', will take place in Bologna from the 5th to the 10th of May 2025. Funded through an Erasmus + Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), and open to doctoral researchers from 11 Una Europa partner universities, this workshop will offer an opportunity to collaborate with experts and peers from diverse academic fields. Through lectures, interactive seminars, hands-on activities, and dynamic discussions, participants will deepen their understanding of critical issues in cultural heritage management and contribute to developing innovative solutions for the future of museums. The workshop will also be associated with the realisation of the virtual exhibitions resulting from the Muse-unveiling project. The doctoral students will play an active role in some phases of the design, conceptualization and dissemination of digital exhibitions:
- They will have the opportunity to develop materials for the dissemination of the online exhibition ‘Unveiling the Environmental Heritage of University Museums’, to be launched in May 2025 during the workshop.
- They will also be involved in the process of creating new contents for the development and dissemination of the virtual exhibition ‘Rethinking the Difficult Heritage of University Museums Between Cancel Culture, Wokeness, and Callout’ which will be inaugurated in December 2025.
The results of the student’s projects will be published on this page from June 2025 onwards.
