Student and scholar mobility, the exchange of research tools, and the circulation of ideas have characterized European universities since their origin. This exhibition aims to bear witness to this well-known tradition by exploring objects selected from the museums of 8 Una Europa Alliance universities.

This exhibition focuses on the often-overlooked role of university research in the conceptualization of environmental heritage, staging some of the objects preserved in the museums and collections of Una Europa Alliance members and building an interdisciplinarity narrative. In this way, the objects become a tool to investigate the relationship between universities, research, and the natural environment.

Throughout their long history, universities have shaped a European space of knowledge, but they have also participated in the less glorious aspects of European history and their heritage bears witness to this . The exhibition is a reflection on the narratives and practices through which Una Europa universities are dealing with their dissonant heritage.
